Poppy is bright and British, with a lift that suits copy meant to persuade. She reads advertising well — the hardest thing to read naturally, because ad copy is written in a register nobody speaks in — and works for short, upbeat material generally.
The engine behind this voice
Zonos is Zyphra's open-weights model (Apache-2.0) in its hybrid state-space configuration: a clean, neutral reader, which is what utility audio wants. It takes up to 400 characters per request, adjusts from 0.75× to 1.5×, and returns MP3 or WAV. Longer text is split at sentence boundaries and joined back into one file.
