Hear Indonesian before you type
We have no voice trained specifically on Indonesian yet, so this is Indonesian read by the engine that serves this page. It is a paid-tier voice, and this clip is exactly what it produces — worth hearing before you decide whether it is good enough for your project.
Indonesian on Premium (MiniMax Turbo)
Read by Grace, a multilingual voice — not a voice trained on Indonesian. Expect correct pronunciation rather than a native accent.
The sentence being read: “Halo! Ini adalah generator teks ke suara dengan AI. Ketik teks Anda dan dengarkan dengan suara yang alami.”
Indonesian AI voice generator
Type or paste any Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) text, pick a voice, and generate speech instantly. Whether you're creating Indonesian voiceovers for YouTube and TikTok, narrating audiobooks, building e-learning courses, or making content accessible, you get an MP3 you own. Note that we do not yet have a voice trained on Indonesian; the engine reads it with a voice trained on other languages, so expect an accent.
There's nothing to install. Indonesian is not covered by our free engines, so generations are billed with credits — which never expire — and include a commercial license.
What Indonesian asks of a speech engine
Indonesian is unusually kind to speech synthesis. Spelling is close to fully phonetic, there are no tones, no grammatical gender, no verb conjugation and no consonant clusters of the kind that break engines elsewhere. Stress is weak and fairly even. In practice this means a competent multilingual engine reads Indonesian well without needing a voice trained specifically on it — which is fortunate, because none of our free engines cover Indonesian.
What it does need is care with borrowed words. Indonesian has absorbed Dutch, Arabic, Sanskrit and English vocabulary, and English loanwords in particular are pronounced Indonesian-style rather than English-style. An engine reading a mixed sentence may switch back to English pronunciation mid-phrase. If a specific term matters, generate that sentence first and check it before committing a whole script.
How it works
How to convert Indonesian text to speech
- 1
Paste your Indonesian text
Type or paste Indonesian (Bahasa Indonesia) text into the generator. Longer text is split at sentence boundaries and joined back into a single file.
- 2
Pick a voice and preview it
The generator opens on the cheapest voice that can actually pronounce Indonesian. Preview it above before generating anything.
- 3
Generate and download
Audio comes back in seconds as MP3 or WAV, with a commercial licence on every tier — including the free one.
Included
What you get
- Free without an account
- Thousands of characters a day as a guest, no sign-up and nothing to install. An account raises the limit; it is not a gate on the tool.
- Commercial use included

- MP3 and WAV export
- MP3 for editors and uploads, WAV where you need uncompressed audio. Speed is adjustable from 0.75× to 1.5× on engines that support it.
- Long text, one file
- Text past the per-request limit is split at sentence boundaries, generated in order, and stitched back into a single download.
- Voices across 18 languages
- Several languages are read by voices trained on that language rather than an English voice reading foreign words — the difference is audible immediately.
- Credits that never expire
